The Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force arrested two men and seized five ounces (142 grams) of methamphetamine earlier this week in Elizabethtown.

Task force members arrested 44-year-old Shawn Hankins, of Elizabethtown, and 24-year-old Billy Mattingly, of Lebanon, after searching Hankins’ residence.

Police also located 14 grams of meth in baggies ready to be sold, hydrocodone, perocet, and digital scales, according to the News-Enterprise. The two men admitted to police that they sold methamphetamine.

Both suspects were charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine, opiates) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mattingly was also charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, his second such offense.

Both men are being held in the Hardin County Detention Center, Hankins on a $75,000 bond and Mattingly a $10,000 bond.
