
The Glasgow man wanted by police in connection to a shooting and burglary in Hart County has been arrested.
Kentucky State Police said that Wednesday morning at 11:15, detectives arrested 32-year-old Jeremy Wheeler. He was located in a cabin in a wooded area near Charlie Mansfield Road, near where the shooting and burglary took place.
Wheeler was taken into custody without incident, and charged with first-degree assault and first-degree burglary, police said. He was lodged in the Hart County Detention Center.
Wheeler was wanted for shooting 60-year-old Steven Mansfield multiple times after Mansfield interrupted Wheeler burglarizing his home. The incident occurred Monday afternoon at 880 Charlie Mansfield Road, about five miles west of Munfordville.
On Tuesday night, police arrested 38-year-old Kevin Sarkela, of La Mesa, California, and charged him with being Wheeler’s accomplice. He was lodged in the Hart County Detention Center where he’s been charged with complicity to first-degree burglary and complicity to first-degree assault.
Mansfield is listed in serious condition.
