A Pulaski County High School student was taken into custody after authorities found a handgun at the school.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says a school resource officer learned Thursday afternoon that a 15-year-old student was in possession of a weapon, according to media reports. The officer searched the student and found an unloaded gun.
The student was charged with disorderly conduct and having a handgun on school grounds and taken to a juvenile detention center.
No one was injured, and police said they do not believe there are safety issues associated with the incident.
