Morgantown woman accused of shooting Butler Co. man in face

A Morgantown woman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after shooting a man in Ohio County.

The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office’s said that on Monday morning at approximately 1:00, the victim, 45-year-old Michael Miller, of Morgantown, arrived at a residence in the 1800 block of Hwy 1118, near Horse Branch, with a gunshot wound to his face. He was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in stable condition, police said.

After an investigation, Kentucky State Police arrested 27-year-old Chasity Clopton Monday afternoon and charged her with attempted murder, assault, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

She is being held in the Ohio County Detention Center.
