The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for kids ages eight to 11 to attend the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Boys and Girls Ranch in Gilbertsville.

Grayson County boys ages eight to 11 will attend June 9 through June 14.The girls will attend June 16 through June 21.

The purpose of the Sheriffs’ Ranch is to provide Kentucky youth with a safe, recreational and educational atmosphere so that the child can grow mentally and socially in a camp setting. The kids will participate in swimming, water safety, arts and crafts, sports, and much more.

They will have educational programs, cookouts, and make new friends. Any parent or guardian who has a child eight to 11-years-old that wishes to attend is asked to stop by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to pick up an application.

We can only take 5 boys and 5 girls during the times mentioned above so slots are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

The camp is free to all kids who attend. However, the camp does have a wish list of items that any citizen may donate. They are (*** indicates a dire need):
