A high-speed police pursuit that began in Cave City ended with the arrest of a Frankfort man by Kentucky State Police.
On Tuesday morning at approximately 4:00, troopers were notified by the Horse Cave Police Department that officers were in pursuit of a Toyota Camry on northbound I-65. The driver of the Camry, 21-year-old Sabian Moxley, was believed to be involved in thefts at a motel in the Horse Cave area, according to police.
With speeds reaching 115 miles per hour, Moxley entered the Bluegrass Parkway at Elizabethtown when, at the eight mile marker, Kentucky State Police deployed a tire deflation device, ending the pursuit.
Moxley was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property (over $10,000), fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, reckless driving, and possession of marijuana. He was also served with four warrants out of Franklin County.
He was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.
