The murder trial for the Marshall County teenager accused of killing two of his schoolmates in January 2018 has been moved.

Former Marshall County High School student Gabriel Parker, 17 (15 at the time of the shooting), is accused of shooting and killing Preston Cope and Bailey Holt, both 15-years-old, and injuring 18 other victims on January 23, 2018, in an early morning shooting Marshall County High School.

Both the defense and prosecutors agreed that it would be virtually impossible to seat an impartial jury in Marshall County due to pre-trial publicity. The trial has therefore been moved to Hopkinsville, in Christian County, about an hour away from Marshall County.

The trial is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2020. Parker will be tried as an adult and faces a maximum of life in prison if found guilty.
