A Fordsville couple has been arrested after a drug trafficking investigation by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Sheriff Tracy Beatty, over the last several months the sheriff’s office conducted controlled buys from the couple, 28-year-old Christopher Brown and 29-year-old Jacquilyn Fredell, where police purchased methamphetamine.

Beatty said the couple had been avoiding police since an arrest warrant for Brown was issued in an unrelated case. The pair, though, was arrested in the 1800 block of Hwy 54 near Fordsville.

Brown was charged with three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of a controlled substance. Fredell was charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The suspects were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
