An early morning fire leveled a double-wide mobile home on Bloomington Road.
Tuesday morning at approximately 5:30, the Leitchfield and Anneta Fire Departments responded to 3768 Bloomington Road on the report of a structure fire. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found the mobile home completely engulfed in flames, with most of the home already on the ground.
Firefighters doused the remaining flames and ensured the fire did not spread to the surrounding woods.
The man who resided at the mobile home escaped injury.
Leitchfield Fire Chief Tim Duvall said the fire likely began in the kitchen/living room area of the home was probably electrical in nature.
Anneta FD cleared the fire at about 6:35 while Leitchfield cleared the scene at 7:00.
