With the Grayson County Cougar football team kicking off their 2019 season in less than three weeks, K105 is excited to announce the future of their Cougar sports coverage.
In the spring, GCHS baseball and softball games were broadcast live on Facebook for the first time. While primarily originating in the state of Kentucky, viewership from these events touched all across the country and even outside of the US in places like Japan and the Philippines.
In order to continue to bring Cougar sports coverage to everyone, K105 announced Monday that all 10 regular season Cougar football games and select GCHS soccer/volleyball games will be broadcast on their Facebook and YouTube pages.
This will be the 46th consecutive year of the partnership between K105 and Grayson County High School.
The debut of the fall sports season for Cougar sports coverage will be on Thursday, August 15th, when the Cougar Soccer team welcomes DeSales to the Cougar Soccer Field.
This leads up to a rivalry volleyball game against Edmonson County on August 22nd before the football season begins officially on August 23rd at Hancock County.
K105 play-by-play announcer Sam Gormley said, “The addition of the visual aspect to our sports broadcasts has been a goal of mine since I came to Grayson County prior to the start of last season. We are all excited about how this can continue to grow and promote Cougar Athletics.”
Every Cougar football game will still be broadcast live on K105, via the K105 app, and on K105.com for those who prefer an audio-only medium.
