Albert Lee Hodges, age 88, of Corydon, IN (formerly of Leitchfield, KY) passed away Thursday, (August 29, 2019) at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN.
He was born on December 10, 1930 in Leitchfield, the son of the late Logan and Laura Crayton Cherry Hodges.
He was a farmer and former employee of American Tobacco who enjoyed animals, gardening, working on his farm, reading and U of L Basketball.
He is survived by his children, Glynda Brooks (Gene) of Louisville, KY, Karen Roeder (John) also of Louisville, Larry Hodges of Corydon, IN and Michael Hodges (Kristen) of New Middletown, IN; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Mildred Gibson of Leitchfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Louise Hodges; his daughter in law, Vickie Hodges; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, (September 4, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Claggett Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. CDT on Wednesday until time of services.
