25th Annual Clarkson Honeyfest begins Wednesday

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Clarkson Honeyfest begins on Wednesday.

The house and business Decorating Contest judging will take place at approximately 2:00 Tuesday afternoon. The Midway opens at 5:00 (armbands $10).

At 5:30, an Amateur Pet Show will take place in the Bank of Clarkson parking lot, and at 6:00 at the Clarkson City Park, the Honeyfest 5K Race & Walk event will begin.

On Thursday, the Midway again opens at 5:00 (armbands $15). Also at 5:00, the Kids Run for the Honey will take place at Clarkson City Park.

At 5:30, Gospel Singing, featuring The Singing Cookes and McDonald Road, will begin.

At 6:00, a Cooking Contest will be held in the yellow committee tent in the Bank of Clarkson parking lot.

The Clarkson Fire Department will provide hay rides every night of the event.

Free parking is available at Clarkson City Park and Clarkson Baptist Church.
