A Louisville toddler has been mauled to death by his family’s two dogs.
Tuesday morning at approximately 9:00, police responded to the 4800 block Brenda Drive, in the Newburg neighborhood, after a three-year-old child was mauled to death by the family’s Rottweilers, according to multiple media reports. The attack took place in the home’s backyard after the young boy climbed out of the residence through a window.
The child pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed.
The dogs were placed in quarantine by Louisville Metro Animal Services. After 10 days the dogs can be euthanized.
Louisville police continue to investigate.
