A year-long investigation by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force has resulted in three arrests and the seizure of significant amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine.
Last week, the task force executed search warrants at locations in Elizabethtown, Radcliff and Louisville, resulting in the arrests of 48-year-old Edward D. Robertson and 34-year-old Lashana T. Moffit, both of Radcliff, and 54-year-old Bertrand B. Deme, of Louisville.
Officers seized a pound of methamphetamine and an ounce of cocaine at DBA Couture clothing store in Towne Mall in Elizabethtown; four ounces of cocaine were seized at DBA Couture clothing store on Poplar Level Road in Louisville; and at Robertson’s Louisville home, police discovered one ounce of cocaine, 22 baggies containing a total of 10 grams of crack cocaine, 4.2 ounces of marijuana, and marijuana edibles and vapes.
Robertson and Moffit were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Robertson was also served with a probation violation warrant.
Deme was charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine, cocaine), resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police did not say whether drugs were being sold out of the DBA Couture locations, or whether the business was used only for storage. DBA Couture is an urban fashion store in business since 1999.
All three suspects were lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on $75,000 cash bonds.
Police said the investigation continues and additional arrests are likely.
