For the last two days, a dive team has been searching the waters off Iberia bridge for a shotgun used by a Clarkson man to shoot his mother.

According to multiple law enforcement sources, the Louisville Metro Police Department dive team has been searching Nolin River Lake looking for the shotgun used by 27-year-old Jordan Stone, of Clarkson, who shot his mother through the window of her home on Orchard Drive, in Elizabethtown. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to her arm, The News-Enterprise reports.

The shooting took place on April 29. Stone was arrested the night of May 2 by Elizabethtown police.

Stone has been charged with second-degree assault, a class C felony, and is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.

It’s unclear if dive team members located the weapon, as attempts to reach representatives of the Elizabethtown and Louisville Metro Police Departments have been unsuccessful.

Iberia bridge is in the 11100 block of Peonia Road.
