A Bullitt County man with ties to Grayson County has been arrested by Kentucky State Police for first-degree rape, kidnapping and assault charges after a vicious assault on a woman in Peonia.

On Monday, Kentucky State Police Trooper Jared Clemons was dispatched to a Louisville hospital after a woman told authorities she was forcibly raped at knife point at a mobile home in Peonia, according to the arrest citation.

The victim told Clemons 20-year-old Casey M. Okes began assaulting her with what she thought was a belt before he threatened to kill her with the knife he was brandishing. The citation states that Okes continued to physically assault the victim, including kicking her in her side as she lay on the ground.

Later in the day, Okes pulled the victim into the trailer’s kitchen by her hair and forcibly raped her at knife point, according to the citation.

Okes later left the mobile home with the victim and two minors, and stopped at a gas station where the victim attempted to get help, the citation says, Okes, though, forced the victim to leave the store.

The citation notes the victim displayed bruising on one of her eyes, her neck, ribs and midsection, all injuries that coincide with the assault the victim described to police.

Okes was arrested by Clemons at an apartment complex just north of Hillview (Bullitt County) and charged with first-degree rape, kidnapping (adult), three counts of unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree assault, and giving an officer a false name.

He is being held in the Grayson County Detention Center.
