A Breckinridge County man has been accused of possessing and distributing child pornography.
According to Kentucky State Police, the agency’s Electronic Crime Branch arrested 33-year-old James T. Richard Jr., of Westview, on Thursday after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
Police said the investigation into Richard’s activities began after investigators discovered Richard sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Westview on Thursday where equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized.
Richard was lodged in the Breckinridge County Detention Center where he’s been charged with distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and three counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance, all class D felonies.
The investigation is ongoing.
