Grayson County High School archery seniors Tyler Woosley and Sierra Gray will compete in the KHSAA State Archery Championship on Thursday morning in Bowling Green.

The pair qualified for the tournament following strong performances at last month’s 2nd Region tournament at Logan County High School. Gray finished as the regional champion with a 291 with Woosley coming in as the region runner-up after firing a 294.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s state tournament is being held at four different locations with regions being assigned to each location. Grayson County, a member of the 2nd Region in archery, is assigned to Ephram White Gym in Bowling Green.

Woosley will kick off the competition with a 9:00 am start time on Thursday. Later that morning, Gray will take her turn at 10:30 am.

Each location will send results to the KHSAA with each region combining to finalize official state rankings. Those will not be finalized until every region is complete with the final round being scheduled for 3:30 pm on Saturday afternoon.
