
A Leitchfield man has been killed while installing an antenna at a residence.
The Leitchfield Fire and Police Departments and EMS responded to the 600 block of Leavette Avenue Thursday afternoon at approximately 4:30. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders found the man unresponsive. Life saving measures were undertaken with the victim transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center.
The man, whose identity has not yet been released by the Grayson County Coroner’s Office, was later pronounced deceased at the hospital by Deputy Coroner Larry Holeman.
The initial investigation shows the decedent was electrocuted while installing an antenna and came into contact with a power line.
Electricity was knocked out to over 100 customers.
The Leitchfield Police Department is leading the investigation.
