A Hardin County man has been jailed after being of accused of distributing child porn.
The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch said detectives arrested 33-year-old Sean P. Owens Wednesday afternoon at his Elizabethtown home and charged him with 99 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance, a class D felony.
Owens was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Detectives began the investigation after discovering Owens sharing images of child sexual exploitation online, according to state police.
Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized from the suspect’s residence and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
Owens was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
