A woman has been arrested in Hardin County after breaking items and spraying kerosene on someone at a gas station.
April L. Ponder, 42, of Campbellsville, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault (a class B felony), harassment, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
Ponder, according to a report by The News-Enterprise, was inside a West Point Valero gas station breaking items and cursing at customers. She then went outside the store, yelling that she didn’t care “who she burnt down,” while also yelling at a child.
She then sprayed a woman with kerosene.
Kentucky State Police responded and located Ponder in a nearby field and with a “very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath,” the arrest citation states, according to the newspaper.
Troopers used pepper spray to bring Ponder into compliance once she was transported to the Hardin County Detention Center. She’s being held on a $10,000 cash bond.
