
A staff member of a mental health facility in Hardin County has been injured while trying to keep a resident from leaving.
The male staff member at Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health in Radcliff, who remains unnamed, suffered two broken ribs on Tuesday when he confronted 43-year-old patient Robert Chencharick, who was attempting to leave the facility. Chencharick became aggravated and pulled a fire alarm, according to a report in the News Enterprise.
He’s been charged with assault and lodged in the Hardin County Regional Jail on a $5,000 cash bond.
According its website, Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is a 140 bed hospital offering inpatient services for children, adolescents and adults. Services are provided by psychiatrists, addictionologists, licensed therapists, and certified alcohol and drug counselors.
