
With a surge in COVID-19 cases in the commonwealth, Western Kentucky University announced a mask mandate for everyone at the Bowling Green school.
WKU President Tim Caboni announced the mask mandate on Wednesday. He said a Coronavirus Task Force has updated its guidelines for masking after receiving recommendations from health officials. The task force will additionally release further guidance for the fall semester
The mandate states that everyone on the campus will be required to wear a mask while indoors.
The first day of classes at WKU is slated for August 23.
