
Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown has released its April Activity Report.
According KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer Scotty Sharp, troopers and detectives:
- Wrote 1,534 citations and arrested 17 impaired drivers.
- Opened 49 criminal cases, made 305 arrests and served 60 criminal court documents.
- Cited 352 speeders and issued citations to 84 motorists for failure to wear a seat belt, with eight citations issued for failure to use a child restraint seat.
- Investigated 44 motor vehicle accidents and assisted 113 stranded motorists.
- Gave 144 courtesy notices for minor traffic offenses.
- Conducted 77 school and business security checks and answered 648 citizen complaints.
- Were involved in 446 special details and conducted 32 community programs.
Sharp reminds motorists that KSP Post 4 troopers will conduct Road Safety Checkpoints as well as Speed Checkpoints throughout the eight county Post 4 coverage area during May and throughout the remainder of 2022.
Kentucky State Police Post 4 covers Hardin, Jefferson, Bullitt, Nelson, Meade, Breckinridge, LaRue, and Grayson counties.
