A Hardin County man is accused of twice choking a juvenile relative, physically abusing the child and threatening to kill the victim.

Daniel Osborne, 41, of Radcliff, was arrested Sunday by the Radcliff Police Department, according to a report by The News-Enterprise. The newspaper reports that the complaint warrant states that Osborne grabbed the juvenile male by the shirt and tossed him against a wall. He is additionally accused of kicking the child in the groin and punching him in the chest.

The victim, who is related to Osborne, also told police that the suspect choked him, twice, until he couldn’t breathe and that he lost consciousness. The child also claimed Osborne threatened to kill him.

The newspaper states that, “Radcliff police reported receiving a copy of the abuse form May 9 which documented a total of 30 injuries … including abrasions, contusions or bruises and a laceration.”

Osborne was charged with first-degree strangulation, fourth-degree assault (child abuse) and third-degree terroristic threatening and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center. He is no longer listed as an inmate.
