A woman survived falling 100 feet off a cliff at Raven Run Way Overlook in south Fayette County.
Sunday afternoon at approximately 3:40, first responders were requested at the 734-acre woodland preserve, bordering Kentucky River, for a high angle rescue after the woman “slid and fell 100 feet off the cliff,” according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Maj. Jessica Bowman of the Lexington Fire Department told news outlets the woman had “gone off trail” before falling.
The woman was removed by boat and suffered non-life threatening injuries. She was transported to a Lexington hospital for treatment.
