The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on Thursday warning of a website which contains nude or partially nude photographs of underage girls and women from Grayson County as well as other areas of Kentucky.

The statement, issued by Sheriff Norman Chaffins, is as follows:

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is aware of the “anonymous website” that contains nude photographs of women/girls from Grayson County and many other counties from around the state of Kentucky.

Many of these photographs may have been posted without the consent of the female. It is believed that many of the photographs are revenge photos that were shared with a significant other that were posted after the other ended the relationship. It was reported to us that there may be some photographs of underage girls on there as well.

This has been reported to the Kentucky State Police Crimes Against Children and they are currently looking into the site as well.

It IS a misdemeanor crime to post a sexually explicit photo without the consent of the person in it. It IS a FELONY crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison to view or distribute obscene matter of a child under the age of 18.

Parents, please use this as a teaching moment for your daughter and/or son. Inappropriate photos are never 100% deleted. Do not ever send a nude or partially nude photograph to anyone!

Chances are that the photo will be shared with others at some point and could possibly ruin someone’s career with a lifetime of embarrassment.

If you are the victim of one of these crimes mentioned above, we encourage you to call your local police agency to report it, especially if you have proof on who posted it. You may also call the contact listed on the website to request that your photo be taken down.
