A former Oldham County High School teacher and choir director has been sentenced to prison for having a sexual relationship with a juvenile student.
Haley Reed, 39, of La Grange, was sentenced to five years in prison after admitting to having sex multiple times with a student after school and on school property. The crimes took place between April 1 and June 1, 2018.
She was originally charged with third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy and first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor. The third-degree sodomy charged was dropped.
She will not be eligible for parole, according to media reports, and will be required to complete sex offender treatment while incarcerated. Upon release, she must register as a sex offender for life.
