
A week following a nearly 70 percent increase in COVID-19 cases in Grayson County, the number of new cases last week fell almost 20 percent.
For the week ending Sunday, the county reported 85 new cases of the virus to the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH), a 19.8 percent drop from the 106 announced the previous week.
The county’s positivity rate, which was 27.68 percent last week, checked in at 23.43 percent for the week ending Sunday.
(Positivity rate and case number statistics do not include residents who conduct home tests and fail to report results to the Grayson Co. Health Department).
One new death was reported, raising the county’s death toll to 140, the KDPH reports.
Since the onset of the pandemic, Grayson Co. has had 8,941 cases of the virus diagnosed.
