A small child has been killed in a vehicle vs. buggy accident in Barren County.
According to Kentucky State Police, troopers responded to the accident in the 8100 block of Old Bowling Green Road, about eight miles west of Glasgow, at approximately 8:00 Monday morning.
Police said the initial investigation showed that 23-year-old Trevor N. Walker, of Glasgow, was driving a 2015 GMC Sierra east when he struck the rear of horse drawn carriage, being operated by 27-year-old Ella Gingarich, of Smiths Grove.
Gingarich and three juvenile passengers, six-, three- and one-year-old, were ejected from the buggy. They were all airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
On Tuesday, the six-year-old passenger succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision.
Gingarich is listed in stable condition, one juvenile passenger is listed in critical but stable condition and the other was treated and released, police said.
