
Grayson County Fiscal Court approved extending the appointments of Grayson County’s treasurer and road supervisor among other actions.
Magistrates on Thursday voted to approve reappointing Angel Hayes to another four-year term as Grayson County Treasurer. Fiscal Court also approved the reappointment of Steve Bratcher as Grayson County Road Supervisor for another four years.
- Fiscal Court approved awarding the city of Clarkson $125,000 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for the purchase of a new garbage truck.
- The Grayson County Detention Center was granted approval to purchase a 2017 Chevrolet Express transport van with 50,646 miles for $42,000 from Dan Powers GM Center, the only company to submit a bid.
- Magistrates approved the second and final reading of the Alcohol Beverage Control Ordinance concerning alcohol sales at Rock Creek and Rough River Dam Resort State Park.
- The 17 page ordinance sets the “Limited Restaurant License” fee at $1,400 per year and the Regulatory License Fee at five percent of “gross sales of all alcoholic beverages sold by the drink.”
- Additionally, Tony Willen, Grayson County Emergency Management Director, will serve as the Alcohol Beverage Control Administrator for Rock Creek and Rough River Dam Resort State Park.
