A custodian at a Lincoln County elementary school has accidentally shot himself while on school grounds.
The incident was discovered Wednesday morning when staff members at Stanford Elementary arrived at the school and found a blood trail leading from the staff break room to the parking lot, according to a report by WKYT.com.
A search of the building was conducted by law enforcement, when authorities learned the second shift custodian accidentally shot himself at approximately 11:00 Tuesday night. The unidentified custodian then drove himself to a hospital.
