Hardin Co. man facing 100 child porn possession, distribution charges

A Hardin County man is facing 100 counts of possessing and distributing child porn.

Stephen C. Heinrich, 60, of Radcliff, has been charged with 25 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (younger than 18), 25 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (younger than 12), 25 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (younger than 18), and 25 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (younger than 12).

He was arrested following a search of his Radcliff home by officers from the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office, according to a report by The News-Enterprise. Law enforcement was alerted to Heinrich’s alleged activities by his use of the BitTorrent network, “a file sharing network sometimes used for child abuse material,” the Elizabethtown newspaper reports.

The counts involving victims under the age of 12 are class C felonies, while the charges involving victims under the age of 18 are class D felonies.
