A Grayson County man has pled guilty to child porn charges.

Jeffrey D. Elmore, 54, of Caneyville, pled guilty on Monday to promoting a minor in a sex performance (victim under the age of 16) and 13 counts of possession or viewing matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

He received a sentencing recommendation of 10 years in prison, according to the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office.

Elmore, as reported by K105, was arrested in January 2018 by the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch.

According to then-Kentucky State Police Post 4 spokesman Jeff Gregory, authorities arrested Elmore as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Police began the investigation after discovering Elmore uploading images of child sexual exploitation online.

The illegal activity, according to Elmore’s Grayson County Grand Jury indictment, took place in December 2017 and January 2018 when Elmore produced, directed, or promoted a sexual performance of a minor.
