
A Hardin County woman is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, after luring a person who was then beaten by two men with baseball bats.
Indiana State Police arrested 23-year-old Elizabeth Potts, of Eastview, and charged her with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder not resulting in death of a person, aggravated battery, battery resulting in bodily injury, battery committed with a deadly weapon.
Potts, according to Indiana State Police, is of accused of luring an unnamed victim to an undisclosed location in December 2022 where two men, 30-year-Jacob Burch, of Huntingburg, Indiana, and 28-year-old Dakota M. Hedinger, of Cannelton, Indiana, beat the person with baseball bats.
The victim suffered a fractured skull and several other broken bones and was airlifted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, police said.
Potts was originally arrested in Hardin County and extradited to Indiana. She is lodged in the Perry County (IN) Jail on a $960,000 bond (10 percent cash).
Hedinger and Burch were arrested on Wednesday. They were charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder not resulting in death of a person, four counts of aggravated battery, and four counts of battery committed with a deadly weapon.
Hedinger is lodged in the Perry County (IN) Jail while Burch is being held in the Spencer County (IN) Jail.
