A Caneyville woman has been jailed on an indictment warrant containing drug trafficking and gun charges.
Samantha Haynes, 35, was indicted by a Grayson County Grand Jury for trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The indictment stems from her arrest on December 30, 2022, after Grayson County Deputies Sean Fentress and Tim Jackson located more than 10 grams of methamphetamine “in separate baggies for distribution” while executing a search warrant in the 6200 block of Rabbit Flat Road, according to the arrest citation. Police also found a 12-gauge shotgun.
Haynes was arrested on the indictment warrant Wednesday night by Grayson County Sgt. Erik Franklin after he made contact with Haynes at the intersection of Bowling Green Road and Caney Creek Road.
She was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
