The Greater Hardin Narcotics Task Force with assistance from the Leitchfield Police Department and Grayson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on Mill Street in Leitchfield where a large amount of methamphetamine and other drugs were seized.
On Tuesday evening at approximately 5:20, law enforcement executed the warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Mill Street and found the occupant, 31-year-old Steffan B. Willoughby, of Leitchfield, hiding in a crawl space.
In the crawl space with Willoughby were “approximately five ounces of methamphetamine and a shotgun,” according to the arrest citation.
During a search of the home, police found, in plain view, several baggies of methamphetamine. Officers also located marijuana and several bags of psychedelic mushroom candy in addition to drug paraphernalia, the citation states.
Willoughby, police said, “had items related to manufacturing methamphetamine,” as well.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine, mushrooms), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, his second such offense), acquiring property from income derived from trafficking in controlled substances, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.
The drug charges are enhanced by the presence of a firearm.
Willoughby was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
