A man has been arrested for having a sexual relationship with a teenage girl, while the victim’s caretaker has been charged with placing video cameras in her bedroom and bathroom.
Kentucky State Police said it began its investigation in mid-March when investigators received information that a 16-year-old Carlisle County girl was in a sexual relationship with an adult male.
The investigation, police said, revealed that 28-year-old Joshua Booth, of Bardwell, had engaged in sexual activities with the girl, with police determining that Booth was aware of the girl’s age.
Further investigation showed that the man who had “been serving in a caretaking role” for the girl, 50-year-old Scott Wilson, also of Bardwell, “had placed hidden cameras in the juvenile’s bedroom and bathroom of the residence,” police said.
Wilson admitted to police that he videotaped the girl while she “engaged in a sexual performance.”
Booth was arrested and charged with third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy and unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal sex act). Wilson was arrested and charged with video voyeurism, possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and tampering with physical evidence.
Both suspects are being held in the McCracken County Detention Center.
