The Ohio County and Daviess County Sheriff’s Offices along with Kentucky State Police arrested a man on theft and drug charges after the execution of a search warrant.
On Wednesday morning, law enforcement executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Stillhouse Lane in Whitesville “in reference to a vehicle stolen in Daviess County on April 24,” Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright said.
The resident, 47-year-old Paul C. Howard, was not home when police arrived.
During a search of the property, deputies and troopers located the stolen vehicle as well as firearms and methamphetamine.
Howard was located and arrested on Collier Road in Daviess County, police said. He was charged with receiving stolen property (more than $1,000, less than $10,000), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. The drug charges are enhanced due to the presence of a firearm.
He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
