An intoxicated man was arrested after a vehicle was found stopped, with no lights on, in the middle of Owensboro Road (Hwy 54).

Sunday morning at approximately 1:00, Grayson County Deputies Sean Fentress and Andy Cast responded to the 7000 block of Owensboro Road after a motorist called 911 to report a vehicle with no lights on stopped in the middle of the eastbound lane.

The deputies, who were only a few miles from the scene, arrived and found a Honda Odyssey in the middle of the road and no roadside lights in the area. The minivan was shrouded in darkness, creating a potentially deadly circumstance.

Police made contact with the driver, 59-year-old Myint Soe, of Bowling Green, and during the investigation observed an open alcoholic beverage container in the vehicle.

Apparently, according to police, Soe ran out of gas.

He was arrested and charged with public intoxication and possession of an open alcoholic beverage or container in a motor vehicle. Soe was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
