
Over $1.3 million in road work is slated to take place in Grayson County.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is scheduled to begin paving work and (land) slide repair along with routine maintenance on several Grayson County roadways, it was announced by KYTC District 4 maintenance supervisor Bow Warren at Thursday’s Fiscal Court meeting.
Undergoing paving work will be Barton Run Road and Foxborough Drive at a cost of $201,649, paid for by state contingency funds.
The work on Barton Run Road will begin at mile point 0.0 and extend south for approximately 2.1 miles. Foxborough Drive repaving will begin at mile point 0.0 and extend .458 of a mile.
Additionally, under Kentucky’s Rural Secondary Road Program, funded by the Motor Fuel Tax, Rocky Hill Estates Road will be repaved from the beginning of state maintenance at mile point 0.0 to mile point 2.8 at a cost of $438,585.
Slide repair work will take place on Olaton Road at mile point 4.0 at a cost of $50,750.
“Routine maintenance and traffic” work will also be undertaken at a cost of $626,500.
In total, $1,321,359 in roadwork is scheduled to be completed in Grayson County this year.
