A Morgantown man has been indicted on multiple charges, including attempted murder, after a domestic violence disturbance.

Jarrod Wilkerson, 45, was indicted by a Butler County Grand Jury for attempted murder (domestic violence), first-degree burglary, first-degree strangulation, first-degree stalking, violating an EPO/DVO, first-degree attempted rape, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), being a persistent felony offender, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Beech Tree News first reported on Wilkerson’s indictment.

The indictment stems from an incident where, according to Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor, Wilkerson illegally entered an Oak Hill Apartments unit in late May 2023 and assaulted a female.

He was arrested at the scene.

Wilkerson is lodged in the Butler County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
