A Butler County woman accused of having a sexual relationship with a “juvenile child” is facing additional charges.

Ann Louise Medeiros, 31, was indicted by a Butler County Grand Jury on four counts of third-degree rape (class D felony), third-degree sodomy (class D felony) and prohibited use of an electronic communication device to procure a minor for sex (class A misdemeanor). She was originally charged with only third-degree rape after her arrest in May of this year.

Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor said in announcing the arrest that Medeiros was accused of having a sexual relationship with a “juvenile child” after police were notified of the alleged criminal actions by the parents of the victim, who told investigators their child was having a sexual relationship with Medeiros.

The ensuing investigation resulted in the suspect’s arrest.

Medeiros is being held in the Butler County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond.
