Medea Elizabeth Thomas Dennis, age 54, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Friday June 30,
2023. She was born on October 2, 1968, to the late R.V. and Mary Daugherty Thomas of Leitchfield.
She was employed by MTD Products until their closing. She was a graduate of Mid-Continent
University and a 1986 graduate of Grayson County High School. She enjoyed camping, singing,
spreading joy to others through friendship, and spending time with her family, especially her
grandchildren and her puppies, Izzy and Ozzy.
She is survived by her life partner of 21 years, Larry Lampton; her daughter, Courtney (Kenny)
Kiper; her sons, Joe Brent Clemons, Gavin (Melissa) Dennis and Chaz Dennis; bonus daughter,
Hailey (Roger) Burke and bonus son, Codey Lampton; five grandchildren, Kenley Medea, Chloe Faye, Emma Grace, Paisley Elizabeth and Anna Napier; eleven siblings, Kaye (Joe) Castlen, Miles Thomas, J.J. Thomas, Becky (Jerry) Carroll, Lanny (Martha) Thomas, Tina (Jimmy) Higdon, Dee Asher, Mike (Linda) Thomas, Dennis (Angie) Thomas, Tonya (John) Renfro, and Mary Thomas; special friends, Rita Duvall, Lisha Preston and Roxanne Hathaway. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends and extended family also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R.V. and Mary Thomas and two sisters-in-law, Sharon Thomas and Beverly Thomas.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, (July 8, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in
Leitchfield. Father Brandon Williams will be officiating.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home on Friday (July 7, 2023) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00
p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
