A person has died after apparently slipping and falling at Shanty Hollow Lake in Warren County.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and multiple fire departments responded to the lake Tuesday morning after a person was spotted “between two large rocks (not in the water) at the waterfall location on the hiking trail.”
“The victim appeared to have fallen from the trail and was pronounced deceased,” the sheriff’s office said.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy has been scheduled.
Shanty Hollow Lake is located about 17 miles north of Bowling Green. The lake also reaches into Edmonson County.
