A female inmate has been injured after jumping out of a moving transport van.

The incident occurred Tuesday evening at approximately 10:30 near the Franklin County Detention Center.

The Frankfort Police Department said 21-year-old Brianna Hollon, of Frankfort, was being transported (it’s unclear where) and jumped out of one of the vehicle’s windows.

Hollon was located by deputy jailers, who, police said, suffered serious injuries in her attempted escape.

She was transported to Frankfort Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, Frankfort police said.

According to online records, Hollon was jailed for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia after being indicted by a Franklin County Grand Jury. She was originally arrested on the charges in April.

The Frankfort Police Department is leading the investigation.
