
On Friday afternoon about 12:30, Kentucky State Police responded to the 50 mile marker of the Western Kentucky Parkway on the report of a single-vehicle accident.
According to police, the initial investigation revealed that the vehicle, for unknown reasons, left the roadway and began “rolling over.” The driver of the vehicle, Andretta Dear, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office.
There were four juvenile passengers in the vehicle, with two of the injured being airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center from the scene.
The other two victims were transported to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Police did not release details regarding the relationship of the victims.
