A wrong-way driver collided with a truck on the Bluegrass Parkway, killing a Bullitt County man.

Kentucky State Police responded to the accident near the 25-mile marker of the Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County Tuesday night at approximately 9:10.

The preliminary investigation, state police said, revealed that a 2019 Ford Fusion, being driven by 71-year-old Raymond Mills, of Mt. Washington, was traveling west in the eastbound lanes when the Ford stuck a 2022 Dodge Ram 3500 truck head-on. The Dodge was being driven by Zachery Doster, of Winchester.

Mills was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Nelson County Coroner’s Office. A 29-year-old passenger in the Dodge was transported to University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. No information regarding Doster’s condition was released.

The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Kevin Dreisbach.
