A man has committed suicide following a police pursuit in Ohio County.

The man, 43-year-old Kendall Radford, of Louisville, was wanted by police after he allegedly stabbed a woman in Louisville multiple times Friday night, according to multiple media outlets. The woman survived the attack, Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright told news outlets.

Law enforcement pinged Radford’s cell phone and discovered he was in Owensboro.

Daviess County deputies made contact with Radford, who fled in a vehicle. Deputies gave chase as Radford entered Ohio County, with Radford calling 911 and telling dispatch he was going to commit suicide.

Stop sticks were used to end the chase, as Radford slit his throat before the vehicle came to a stop.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Radford was convicted of assault under extreme emotional disturbance, a class D felony, in 2019 in Jefferson County.
