Identities of 2 people killed in head-on collision in Owensboro released

The names of the two people killed in a crossover head-on collision in Daviess County have been released.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched to the crash Wednesday morning at approximately 7:25 in the 2100 block of the Wendell Ford Expressway.

Police said the investigation showed that a westbound passenger car, being driven by 43-year-old Nicholle Haynes, of Owensboro, crossed the median and struck an eastbound pickup truck head-on. The truck was being driven by 46-year-old Robert Brown, also of Owensboro.

Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene.
